First Steps Call us and tell us the circumstances of the event. If the police and/or Medical Examiner's Office were involved, we will need a case number and the name of the detective handling the investigation. We will do our best to answer your questions and guide you in what to do next. First, call your insurance company and file a claim. In most instances, our services are covered by your insurance policy, minus your deductible. An adjuster will be assigned to evaluate the damages and will inform you of the parameters of your coverage. (If you are renting, the owner of the property must be the person whom initiates a claim.) Occasionally an adjuster may be assigned with little knowledge or experience in handling a potentially biohazardous incident. Don’t panic. We are often called upon to educate insurance professionals about the nature of our work and its value. Give the adjuster our name and contact information. Then call us with your claim number and adjuster contact information. We will arrange to visit your property at your convenience -- at which time we can ascertain the scope of work and provide you and your insurance company with an estimate. If you are uninsured or prefer to pay privately, we are able to ease the financial burden by keeping our costs as conservative as possible. We also accept Mastercard and VISA and can set up a payment plan that works for you. Our goal is to return your property to a safe, habitable condition as expediently and affordably as possible. Call Ian or Raquel Pallak with any questions you may have regarding the information on this page at 845.389.8002 or 845.389.0287. |
